Adam Levine (vocals/guitar), Jesse Carmichael (keyboards), Mickey Madden (bass), and
Ryan Dusick (drums) played in the modern rock foursome, Kara's Flowers through the later half of the 90's.  They later, 1999, renamed  themselves Maroon 5 adding another guitarist, James Valentine.
